I heard, "welcome to a summer day I hope you make it count I hope you like it. There's a thousand ways to live And there's a thousand ways to die I hope you try it." Yesterday's gone But don't forget 'Cause you can learn from pain and bitterness And the people that you hurt I hope you do it Soon they'll all be distant memories Anecdotes to tell your kids Before you knew it The sorrow brought you here To these arms They should hate you for the things you did Your ugly little past but they've all got one You're not so different after all The tears and time spent crying out to no one And yesterday's gone So greet your future She says, "Welcome to a summer day, You'll never make it count And you can't stand it. Though your heart is full of life You see a future packed with death But you still try it. But there will be time For tears in the future."

I know God is real. I hear him every time you speak.

Harbinger 03:55
God told me you're a harbinger of misery. That might explain why I can't tear myself away.

Split Ends 02:50
It's the black around your eyes. It's the veins that run your arms. It's the bones your wrists and the shine in your lips and the split ends in your hair That you pick at 'Cause I'm boring you to death And the way our breaths align And your body against mine And the sound of your voice and the things that you say and the eyeballs that you roll When I speak Is this worth having if it can't last? Yes; we'll cross that bridge when it arrives. It's the black around your eyes. It's the veins that run your arms. It's the bones in your wrists and the shine in your lips and the split ends in your hair.

Hips white and soft Cut from linen cloth You're the mother of all to love Your touch is electric Your voice makes me hectic And my hands should be poison to you When you pull me close I swear I can almost hear The blue ocean's roar And I'd take your eyes out And then I would mount them up For their light On a mattress of blue Love has cut right through me again
7.
All I'm destined to be is a painful memory. Long live the walls we crashed through, I had the time of my life fighting dragons with you. I was screaming long live the look on your face And bring on all the pretenders One day We will be remembered

Savior 05:01
I'm one day closer To the day When you'll leave me How does someone live With the knowledge That their livelihood Always goes away? I'm not taking it too well, And I'm sure you've noticed. And I can't make you stay. It never worked before. 'Cause you're a human being And superhuman you may seem, You can only do so much. I can't expect you to be my savior; I know the cost, And I wouldn't put anyone through that... But least of all you. And I'll see you in the next life.

about

this album is for Allison but I totally understand if she doesn't want it. I barely want the goddamn thing.

recorded at San Francisco State University in February 2013.

explorations of depression, obsession, insanity, and anxiety.

darker, noisier and more experimental than my previous efforts.

it's also very, very disjointed... I didn't go with a single "sound" on this record. if you don't like one track, stick around. maybe you'll find something that's more your cup of tea.
